Marriage certificate states that Anderson is the son of Anderson and Betsy Falkner and that Frances is the dau of Peter and Mary Robertson.⁶

Mr. William Faulkner, aged 16, and Miss Tabitha Robertson, age 40, daughter of the late Col. Woodward Robertson, all of Granville County."^2,3,4

• Milit-Beg: He began military service on 27 February 1862 at Granville Co., NC, N.C. Troops 1861-1865, pg 403; James W. Falkner, private, served in Co. A. 44th Regmt N.C. Troops. He was born in Granville Co where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Granville Co. at age 23, 27 Feb 1862. Hospitalized at Richmond, Va. 21 Jul 1862 with "continued fever". Died in hospital at Richmond on or about 29 Jul 1862.⁶

• Census: He appeared on the census of 26 June 1860 at Henderson, Granville Co., NC. Age 17, farm laborer, living with Lewis and Mary A. Griffin, farmer's. Also living with the Griffin's is Margaret Griffin Falkner, age 28, who was the wife of Jefferson Falkner and Alexander Falkner, age 6.³
• Milit-Beg*: He began military service on 10 May 1862 at Henderson, Granville Co., NC, Henry was a 18 years old and a resident of Granville County when he enlisted. He was mustered into Capt. Samuel J. Parham's Company K (Carolina Boys) of the 54th N.C. Regiment at Camp Mangum on 20 May 1862. He was in the Hospital at Farmville, Va. from 11 June 1862 to 1 July 1862 with Chronic Bronchitis. On 1 July 1862 he was sent to the fortificaations at Richmond, Va. He returned to the Hospital at Farmville, Va. on 12 Nov 1862 complaining of diarriaha and remained there until 3 Jan 1863. On 7 Nov 1863 he was captured at Rappohamock. Shortly after his capture he was transferred to Point Lookout, Md. and remained there until24 Feb 1865 when he was exchanged at Aiken's Landing, Va. On the 3 March 1865 he appeared on the roll of Paroled Sick at General Hospital Camp Winder Richmond, Va.⁴

• Census: Henry Falkner appeared on the census of 20 June 1900 at Sandy Creek, Vance Co., NC. He is age 55, born Mar 1845, and his wife Roberta, 33, born Oct 1866. Henry and Roberta have been married 5 years. Daughters Lillie, age 3 and Meta, age 10/12, are listed. Also listed is dau Sallie, 14, from a previous marriage.⁸

• Census: Wily Falkner appeared on the census of 30 July 1850 at Tabs Creek District, Granville Co., NC. Wily is 37 years old and a Farmer.¹
• Census*: He appeared on the census of 10 September 1860 at Tabs Creek District, Granville Co., NC. Wily is 50 years old. He and Lively are living with a farmer by the name of W. Johnson who is 90 years old. Note that Wily and Lively are also listed on page 221 of the Tabs Creek census living together in a separate dwelling number 995.²
• Milit-Beg*: He began military service on 10 May 1862 at Granville Co., NC, enlisted at the age of 52 occupation farmer. He mustered in 20 May 1862 at Camp Mangum in Granville County as a Private in Co. K (Carolina Boys - Capt Samuel J. Parham's Company) 54th Regt N.C. Infantry. From Nov to Dec 1862 he was listed as Absent without leave. He returned to service from January to 29 April 1863. From April 30 to 31 Aug 1863 he was in Chimborazo Hospital at Richmond, Virginia. After his stay at the hospital the muster rolls show that he was absent without leave. No record of discharge.³
