Three children are listed. Lucy, age 8. Theodore, age 4 and Lewis, age 2. Note that Theodore and Lewis are not listed separately again on a census together. It is possible that Theodore should be Pleasant and the census taker got confused.²
• Census*: He appeared on the census of 17 September 1870 at Fishing Creek District, Granville Co., NC. Willie Falkner is 40 and works on a farm. His wife is Ellen, age 40. Two sons Pleasant, age 16 and Theodore, age 14.³

Faulkner, age 59 and wife Nellie, age 57 are listed in the 1880 Granville Co., Fishing Creek Township, Census. Two sons are also listed, Pleasant F., age 25, and Lewis T. , age 22. Lewis T. may be Theodore.⁴

Troops; born in Warren Co. where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Granville Co. at age 28, July 30, 1861, for the war. He was mustered in as a Corporal on 14 Sep 1861 at Camp Macon in Warren County, N.C., Captured at Roanoke Island by General A.E. Burnside's forces on 8 Feb 1862 and paroled at Elizabeth City, N.C. on 21 Feb 1862. Was under medical care at Hospital #4 Wilmington, N.C. fro Typhoid and Dysentery from 11 July 1863 to 11 August 1863. Present or accounted for until captured at Fort Harrison, Va. 30 Sep 1864 and confined at Bermuda Hundred, Va. until 5 Oct 1864 when he was transferred to Point Lookout Maryland. Confined at Point Lookout, Md, until 15 Feb 1865 when he died of "acute dysentery".⁴

• Marriage*: She married James Henderson Renn, son of Green C. "Jeff" Renn and Wenny Robertson, on 19 October 1854 at Granville Co., NC.²
• Census: Jackey "Martha" Faulkner appeared on the census of 30 July 1870 at Sandy Creek, Franklin Co., NC. Jackey is listed as 42 yrs old and "Keeping House". she cannot read or write. Husband James is not listed. Only Louisa, age 13, and George, age 9, are living with her. Indexed in census as Remm.³
• Census: She appeared on the census of 9 June 1880 at Hayesville, Franklin Co., NC. Jackey is 55 years old. Living with her is her son George, age 20. Two dwellings away lives Edmund and Polly Faulkner. In dwelling number 133 is John A. Faulkner and wife Eliza (Jackie's daughter).⁴
• Death*: She died after 30 June 1885 at Franklin Co., NC. From Eliza Renn's Marriage Certificate, she states that her father is dead. She did not list his name but she did list her mother as Jackey Renn and that she was still living. Jackey is also listed in the 1880 Franklin Co. Census.⁵

• Marriage*: He married Mary Ann Faulkner, daughter of James H. Faulkner and Elizabeth Lundy Falkner, on 9 December 1857 at Granville Co., NC; Mary Ann Faulkner bond #2118 to Robert Perdue. James Ball was bondsman.²
• Milit-Beg*: Robert Perdue began military service on 2 April 1862 at Camp Mangum, Warren Co., NC, as a Private in Company G (Warren Defenders) 43rd Regiment North Carolina Infantry. He was born in North Carolina about 1838. He gave his age as 24. He was described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall.³
